   I get it. 6:30 dinner reservation on a week day might bump into the work crowd. Anniversary dinner date planned and noted on the reservation. Sat right next to table of seven yelling co workers on our right. Music speakers blaring on the left. Busy laneway table. I don’t get. If I wanted to go to a night club and get something to eat I would. Heavy beat Loud music at dinner leaves me shaking my head. My wife is a huge crab cake fan. They were average. The Ceasar was fabulous. The clam chowder was fabulous in the past but I would not order it again as it’s been changed. The burger was fabulous. Fries were perfect. Service was great. We drove in from Niagara. Ate fast and left early. Re do anniversary dinner date planned. They were thoughtful enough to leave a hand written card on the table for anniversary. Nice touch. I’m sorry the rest of the experience was a bust.

   We had an excellent lunch for a retirement of my staff. The service was superb, the food was divine and the atmosphere was casual but sophisticated. Chef Damon and staff provided a very memorable experience.

   In spite of being one hour late for our reservation (truly not our fault), the hostess and waiters were welcoming, flexible and cordial. Obviously hired and trained well. We really appreciated the way they handled the situation. We all had the same thing for lunch: a prime rib sandwich. A huge portion so large that I had to pack up and take home for later. A memorable afternoon Thank you!

   I wish I had asked our server for his name...he probably mentioned it as I think it was initials. Anyway- one of the best I have experienced. Friendly, sense of humor and attentive enough without being overbearing. Food and wine were spectacular as well. I have been to Spencer's many times but this was my sister's first experience and she was thrilled... with the exception of the stingy amount of shrimp and scallops in her pasta dish of the same name.😉 The setting is beautiful... wish it had been a warm evening but they will come!

   The table and the service were excellent. We had four different brunch items, and no one was disappointed. I would recommend Spencer's, and I will be hoping to go back.

   The restaurant was very busy. Thus very noisy. We are 2 seniors and it was difficult to hear each other. We each ordered clam chowder and wedge salad. The chowder had corn and potatoes both lightly cooked and the broth was thin. The salad was a “slice” of lettuce piled with small greens and not enough dressing. The lettuce was difficult to eat. The restaurant is very nice but disappointing. We’ve been to Spencer’s on other occasions but this wasn’t a good experience.

    GREAT place. From start to finish, everything was excellent. The view makes it the perfect place. The bugs need to go though!
