St. Elmo Steak House has been a landmark in downtown Indianapolis since 1902. It is one of the oldest Indiana restaurants in its original location & has earned a national reputation for its excellent steaks, seafood, chops & professional service. Try our famous St. Elmo Shrimp Cocktail followed by a dry-aged USDA Prime Steak. We happily accommodate special requests; please call the restaurant directly.     Our server was amazing 10/10 for knowledge and personality. Unfortunately the food was such a disappointment. My bone in rib eye was over cooked but we did get a discount. Just unfortunately a disappointing experience

    Great Experience as always. Paige was amazing and the customer service was on point was knowledgeable about the menu and made wonderful suggestions. If you have not been to St. Elmo’s put it on your list you won’t be disappointed.

    Our food was very disappointing. The prime rib was so tough that I finally gave up cutting and chewing it. Two of us got that and he had the same response. Potatoes were warm not hot. The stuffed shrimp were overcooked and tough. Filet was fine. This was not the St. Elmos I remember when every food item was done to perfection. Service was fine. The setting, of course, was wonderful. We had taken our friends there for their first time and had built up their expectations for the experience. All four of us were very disappointed.

    St. Elmo’s never disappoints! The service is always impeccable. The shrimp cocktail is the best around. I love an Elmo Cola. The steaks were cooked perfectly. This is a go to every time I’m visiting town.

    Coming back to Indianapolis after many years we made it a point to come to st. Elmo for a celebration with family and we were not disappointed. Our services Will was charming, funny and very knowledgeable about the menu and selection of drinks ( which wow is impressive itself) my husband, brother and sister n law had steak and mashed potatoes I had the South African lobster and my goodness cooked to perfection melted into our mouths .. definitely a treat and the dessert were yummy as well .
