The Kitbar is the kitchen is inside the bar.
Our KitBar consists of tables and bar seating around our open kitchen.
There are booths and large group tables branching off of the KitBar.
Our unique design allows for an energetic and lively experience with our Cheftenders. Every associate is cross-trained to be a Chef and Bartender.
The menu features a variety of American cuisine with a contemporary twist and specialty cocktails. We feature lunch, dinner, brunch, and happy hour specials daily.

    Drunken Ribeye special was not very tasty. Didn’t experience any of the beer marinade or seasonings. Steak just tasted like steak. Won’t get that if I go again.

    Crab bisque was great and the presentation of adding the flavors and amounts was fantastic. Pom Cosmo also outstanding.

    One the best places to go in Herndon, the macinaw is a favorite but the tacos are tasty as well

    Second night in a row - we are enjoying KitBar. Tonight, service remained at a high level. Food was almost as good as it was last night - he atarted with the warm crab dip (lump meat, scallions, wite cheddar and Parmesan) on flatbread crackers. Ample crabmeat, but it seemed dramatically saltier than it should have been. Was good, but not at the same level as other dishes. Linda had the salmon entree - salmon was perfect temperature with nice al dente asparagus. I had the special - lobster roll with street corn. The lobster roll, with hints of Olde Bay, was exceptional - perfect roll, large chunks of lobster meat with a light, gentle infusion of celery, onion and mayo - as good as any I have had on the coast of New England. The corn was a bit of a disappointment. Flavor was good, but the ear itself was of poor quality - one that should have been rejected in sorting. In all, a delightful experience with nice conversations with wait/cook staff

    It is rare to find a dining experience that is close to perfect in every dimension. I found my visit to KitBar to reach that lofty bar. Food - inventive, perfectly prepared, nicely plated and presented and seriously delicious. And different. I like different, where cookie/cutter approaches are tossed out the window and the cooking staff think through different twists and turns in order to land on something that is unique and attention grabbing. Imagine shrimp and grits with an infusion of Old Bay? Who would have thought it? Service - warm, interested and technically perfect. Server and chef were happy we were there - not in a “watch-me-perform-and-act-engaged-so-I-get-a-bigger-tip” sort of way, but rather in a clearly sincere, get-to-know you sort of way that made us feel valued. Atmosphere - really interesting and innovative, where a cleanly appointed dining room surrounds the cooking kitchen - the customer becomes a real witness to the preparation process. Value - distinctively fairly priced, and quite different from nearby competitors. This value proposition is perfectly geared to generate repeat customers - like I will be. my final grade - KitBar is a true gem of a dining experience. I will return as often as I can.

    Katerina greeted us and was super friendly and appeared to love her job. We ordered the wings and she gave us options. She recommended the house sauce and it did not disappoint! We then ordered some cocktails (old fashioned) and it came out with club soda (our mistake for not asking). Scott (bar manager?) remade them the way we expected and they were perfect. Entrees included a honey goat cheese chicken with seasonal vegetables and a hamburger with their signature tater tot (kit tots). Both were excellent and filling! Highly recommend you checking tho a place! A+++
