SUCCOTASH is named after the classic dish that has been a longstanding staple of the Southern table. While many know “Succotash” when they see it, the dish has been interpreted, modified and passed from generation to generation for centuries. While Succotash between families will share similarities, each family’s recipe is deeply personal and reminiscent of those special suppers that brings kin together. Our “Succotash” is special to us and we invite you to experience the South from our point of view.

    I wanted to treat myself to something good to close out my week. I had an amazing dinner. The Bourbon Frost was just right, not too strong and not too watery. It tried both the kimchi and bacon jam deviled eggs. Both were good but of the two, the kimchi was better. Collard greens were very good and well-seasoned. For my main course, I had the shrimp and grits. It was good but I think I wanted the shrimp to be cooked a tiny bit longer. As a bonus for dining solo, they brought to my table the best tiny bite - a small crispy square of cornbread, topped with pimento cheese and a drizzle of hot honey. That was amazing an amazing finish to a great meal!

    We love coming here for the Taste of the South—it’s always excellent! On our most recent visit, an early Saturday evening, we were warmly welcomed by the hosts, who went above and beyond to accommodate us and our infant, making sure we felt comfortable throughout our meal. Eileen, the general manager, is fantastic—her exceptional customer care is reflected in the entire staff. This is our favorite place to dine whenever we visit National Harbor!

    The hostess was awesome! Welcoming! This was my second time visiting and a friend’s first time and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was amazing. Delicious! And my friend was in awe of everything. The food was served quickly, hot and delicious. Our server Cree was the best! My friend cannot wait to take her husband there. Five plus stars!!!!

    Now this is how you do it. Food, customer service, hospitality and atmosphere was top notch. This was our first time and we were celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday. From the hostesses, and server they were attentive and acknowledged my boyfriend’s birthday each step of the way. And Mr. Joe Jo, this man deserves a Michelin for customer service. Awesome experience! The food was flavorful, plentiful and the presentation, chefs kiss. We will be back whenever I’m in town from Houston.
