We're happy to offer a $80/per person chef-curated prix fixe to celebrate Valentine's Day with your special someone. The full menu can be found below. We will not be offering our normal dinner menu on that day.

Since our early days as a tea room, we’ve been a respite for locals and visitors alike, offering a haven for conversation and memorable cuisine. The tradition continues as our culinary team has curated an inventive and elevated menu through New American cuisine while paying homage to the beloved dishes that have been served at the Tabard Inn for years. A DC institution since 1922, we look forward to offering our guests all the comforts of a home away from home.

Executive Chef Matthew Zafrir came to the Tabard in 2023, bringing with him experience from various fine dining restaurants around D.C. such as minibar by José Andrés, Cranes, Revelers Hour.

Very nice atmosphere, super friendly staff. The dishes were made well, with nice combinations of ingredients but not all were to our (European) taste buds. Example: The carpaccio with green apple slices was an exciting delicious combination, but undone by an excess of dressing. Though I can recommend the pear semifreddo for desert.

Threat ambiance and menu. My breakfast sandwich, however was not good. The sausage felt chewy and it cokes with nothing on the side. Friend ordered shrimp and grits which were good!

The perfect place on a snowy night in DC. The staff. Was very attentive and the food was phenomenal! I highly recommend you place this on your must go list.

I was on my own for this Sunday brunch and had a great experience. Seated at a nice table, waiter gave me time to relax, Bloody Mary was grand as was the shrimp and grits. Five Stars!

I was super excited to go to the Tabard Inn for my birthday last week. When we got our drinks the waiter did say “Happy Birthday to me”, which was very nice. The warm spiced cider was really nice. The onion tart was delicious and my husband got the pork chop, which was insane. My chicken fricassee was a little dry but I still ate it. When dessert came there was no mention of my birthday again, no candle,. We ordered the honey cake, which I didn’t care for, although my husband liked it. The atmosphere was very cozy and perfect for a cold February night. I would like to go back and try it again as everyone I know raves about it.

A group of us gathered for pre-theater drinks & dinner. The hosts were very warm & welcoming. They were able to make adjustments to the reservation with no issue. Gigi was our server and went above & beyond to provide excellent service and to accommodate my guests needs. The Tabard Inn is one of my favorites!!
