    The patio dining was wonderful. It was cold and rainy out, but we felt very comfortable with the outdoor heaters and covered roof. They even gave us blankets in case we got cold. We ordered the focaccia, the risotto, and the mussel and clam bowl, and everything was perfect. We weren't going to be able to take leftovers with us, so we stuffed ourselves so as not to let anything go to waste. Even with drinks, I was surprised at how reasonable the bill was when we received it. I mentioned in our reservation that it was my wife's birthday, and they made a personalized menu just for the event. Our server was really nice and friendly, and the staff went above and beyond for us. I can't recommend Terra Plata enough.

    We love coming to Terra Plata. This visit was for a fun date night in Seattle. We sat at the bar, enjoying delicious cocktails (Spanish gin was amazing), devouring savory dishes, and seeing the meals served up for other patrons. We love the organic, farm to table meals as well.

    This spot is outstanding!! Their rooftop dining was amazing, with heaters and blankets to keep us warm in an amazing location! Our appetizer and dinner was *chef’s kiss* and our sever was so knowledgeable! He also worked with the bartender to modify a drink for my dietary restrictions! 6 stars out of five!

    The food was delicious, the ambiance warm and inviting, but it was the service that puts this restaurant at a 5 star level. A personalized menu, waitstaff eager to answer questions, make suggestions, and picture perfect pacing. We had time to savor each dish. Thank you!

    We haven’t been back to Terra Plata in a few years, and we were really looking forward to going to a nice dinner and then the 8:00 performance of Wicked. Arrived a few min late for or 6:15 reservation. (We were seated and ready to order by 6:35, they were quick, we were slow) Ordered our starter (charcuterie plate - yummy), while we decided on mains. Ordered our mains, and asked for a few extra pickles that my pickle-obsessed daughter spotted on one of the dishes descriptions. We were told “we don’t have pickles” just pickled onions, peppers, etc. informed the waiter that we were attending the 8:00 show, and asked if it was going to be a problem. “No problem” was the answer and so we thought we were okay. Charcuterie plate arrived, including cornichons - fun fact: Cornichon translates to “pickle”. Our first main arrived - cod with lentils and kale. Cod perfectly prepared, quite good. Extra cornichons (pickles) were brought by the server (thank you!). We finished off the plate quickly and then waited. Our waiter (also the host) cleared our table of the empty dishes after a while. Then we waited some more. Around 7:25 we asked if our other dishes were coming soon, and he replied “you haven’t had them yet?”. He said he would check. 5 min later he said the kitchen was backed up, and they were working on them. Eventually the manager came by and apologized, our chicken fricassee came out (very good), and we waited some more for our chanterelles which they said they’d comp. At 7:50 we asked again about the last dish, and were told it was coming, and did we want a dessert to take with us (we declined). At 7:55, the chanterelles came and the manager provided a gift card (unsolicited) to make up for the experience. We took a few big bites (good too much lemon, which overpowered the mushrooms), and ran out the door. We made the show with exactly 10 seconds to spare before the door hold! We’ll go back for the food, but not if we have plans after.

    We had a reservation at 5:30 PM, and the restaurant wasn’t busy at all—only a few seats were occupied on the rooftop. We placed our order at 6:00 PM for a party of 8, but the last dish didn’t arrive until 6:55 PM. The service was extremely slow, and the server casually remarked that “the food comes out as it’s ready because the kitchen is very busy.” While I understand delays, the food was served at different times for everyone in our group, so it felt awkward with some eating alone while others just watched and waited. We ordered lamb riblets (the best dish by far), two Portuguese pig roasts, roasted black cod, two chicken dishes, roasted bone marrow, one charcuterie apps to share, and several drinks. Altogether, the bill was around $500–600. Unfortunately, aside from the couple who ordered lamb riblets, the rest of the group was disappointed with the taste of their dishes. There’s some street parking, but it’s limited. While the rooftop patio offers a great vibe, the food just didn’t live up to expectations. I won’t be returning for the food.
