We have eaten at The Bistro many times over the last 15 years and this was the worst meal we have ever had. The foccacia we ordered was stale and hard and the olive oil served with it had no taste at all. I ordered trout and it was also tasteless and the vegetables served with it were supposed to be cooked but were hard and they were radishes and turnips, neither of which had any taste at all and were too hard to eat. Those two vegetable should never be served together due to their lack of taste unless you do something to change that. My husband's first order was chicken liver pate with crostinis and he couldn't eat any of it. He said it tasted horrible, then he ordered French onion soup and it was equally awful. I tasted it and he was right. It had not flavor of french onion soup and tasted like dishwater. We did not ask for anything to be taken off our bill but they took off his orders, which we appreciated. It is sad to see a restaurant that was once wonderful to go down so much. Not sure why, but it needs to be fixed and right away.

This was a wonderful dining experience to a most wonderful day! I had gone to the Tutankhamen exhibit with my brother and our friends, and as a belated birthday gift we decided to go to the Bistro! I had made the reservations a few weeks prior and it worked out beautifully! Steve and I had the Filet Mignon and Lester and Wendy the Scallops. The food was divine!

Jennifer our server made our experience positive from the start with great recommendations on apps, entrees and wine pairings. Friendly and professional. We started with Asparagus topped with smoked trout and the chicken liver mousse. Both were great. The Steelhead Trout special was also perfectly prepared with a super crisp skin and a moist interior. The lobster risotto was also a big hit. As season pass holders we eat here on special occasions, but this was an exceptional meal. Jennifer even brought a special little birthday surprise from the kitchen.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience the night before last. My wife and I had the filet mignon, and it was perfect. The rest of our group enjoyed everything but I don’t recall what they ordered. Jennifer, our server, was attentive and kind and professional. We are looking forward to returning again tonight. Thanks for keeping up the high standards even during this season of recovery from Helene.

Overall great experience. Our server, Bobby, was personable, knowledgeable, attentive and funny. The drink prices were pretty much what we expected. For the little bit of food we had, I think the prices were on the extreme side.
