Open seven days a week, The Capital Grille is best known for our expertly prepared steaks, which are dry aged in house for 18 to 24 days and then hand-cut by our restaurant's on-premise butcher. The Capital Grille's wine list features more than 350 selections, and its floor-to-ceiling wine kiosk regularly houses 3,500 - 5,000 bottles. Reservations are recommended but not required.     We typically go to the Capital Grille for birthdays and usually it’s completely delightful. This year we were seated in the bar area, which was cold since we were near the door and very noisy since it was quite packed at the beginning of our dinner. The service is usually outstanding as is the food. This year, the food was down a couple of notches and service was ok. The calamari was average flavor and texture.The lobster bisque was not nearly as good as in years past- too thick and less flavorful. The beet salad had no nuts and only few beets. The steak was OK. The best part of the meal was the smashed potatoes, which were fantastic. The Capital Grille is very nice about having happy birthday decorations on the table and a complimentary dessert, large enough to share. I appreciate the extra effort they put into making the meal special, I just wish the food quality and service were as good as in years past.  I would go to Kincaids or somewhere else next time.

    It was thanksgiving and the tempo was very busy. The Turkey offering was less than one might expect but every thing else was lovely. Staff was accommodating when one of my guests was unhappy with one of the dishes she ordered was not to her liking.

    Exceptional dining experience. Mia was our waitress and knew the menu perfectly. She treated us like royalty as did the rest of the staff. Food was 10/10.
