   We celebrated my wife's birthday for a great luncheon at Capital Grill today. Everything was perfect. Service was excellent and the food was superb. It was a great celebration, with a free birthday desert for my wife.

   We were very disappointed, we come to Capital Grille every year for Thanksgiving and this is the first time we have had a bad experience with the wait staff. My husband ordered a drink, I got a bottle of wine, and we ordered three appetizers, the soup, the crab cake, and the prosciutto. As we ate the appetizers, we thought it was odd that our server never returned for our main course order, hadn’t done the usual with going over the menu, or specials, or anything that they usually do, but hey, it’s Thanksgiving and the place is busy, completely understand. However, time went on, and all plates had been cleared; we waited a while just looking at each other due to how odd this was, as we were an hour into our reservation. Our server finally came over and said “Is there anything else I can get you for tonight, or?” …What? We were absolutely shocked. I said yes and ordered my steak and my husband did as well. We then sat at our completely cleared table for over half an hour waiting on our main course (which is not the fault of the kitchen naturally; typically the wait on the main course is not noticeable as it is fired while you have your appetizers). We are still completely in disbelief at how that was handled. I can only think there was an assumption that due to ordering multiple appetizers we were not eating dinner? I struggle with that though as it’s Thanksgiving and people tend to try different things when dining out. The only other thing we could think of was an assumption on our age, and while that could be flattering, it definitely put a damper on the evening. People in their 30’s do order main courses as well. The server then disappeared nearly altogether, hopefully from embarrassment, as we were assisted by another server for almost the rest of the evening. I would recommend that expectations get reset regarding assumptions based on either age, what patrons order, or both.

   We've been coming here for Thanksgiving for 10 years and it never disappoints! Everyone from the gals greeting you as you enter to Brett and Casper, not to mention our waiter. Eric, were beyond amazing! I'm never making turkey again.... Capital Grille is the ticket!

   We thoroughly enjoyed the scrumptious Thanksgiving meal. The turkey was tender, moist, and tasty. The sides were perfection, and, then, there was the yummy pumpkin cheesecake. Adrian provided excellent service. In short, we had a wonderful overall experience!

   Today was Thanksgiving - an event my wife and I look forward to. We passed our time when we worked the event for the family, and now let the kids go off to celebrate with other members. Now we look forward to a quiet and delicious meal at The Capital Grill, and this year's meal, once again was perfect.
