The Edison - A Return To The Old World Glamour of Downtown Los Angeles The Edison presents a brilliant marriage of refined industrial architecture and art deco chic. The grand staircase of cantilevered concrete and steel spectacularly descends into the depths of the 11,000 square feet of space, culminating in a moody mélange of ambers and reds set against furnishings reflecting the turn of the century. The Edison speaks to the nostalgia of the time with restored artifacts and silent video montage that revisit the early work of film legends. The Edison revives the classic hand crafted cocktail with live music & floor show entertainment, an intimate menu of upscale cocktail cuisine, and various DJs.

Beautiful place, great music and service but a bit over priced. $16/drink....not necessary to gouge like that. It’s a place where people go to drink, don’t have to charge such steep prices.

Bad management. Cancelled reservation last min, 2 hours before because of: „a sudden private event that booked out the whole venue“. Ruined my birthday celebration that so had planned there. Never again!

We booked our reservation through Open Table to bring out of town guests too. We went all the way into downtown LA had to pay $20 for parking showed up and were told the entire place was closed for a private event that night. The bouncer was very nice and apologized. What a disappointment.

The most pretentious, rude, obnoxious staff I have ever experienced in my life. The place smells like a dirty alley.

We showed up on time for our reservation....the hostess downstairs had gone home for the evening. They took about 30 min to find someone to seat us. We finally got a table and it took about another 20 mins just to get a menu dropped in front of us. The waitress passed by at least 5 times before she even said a word.....That's just the first half....now the food......The Truffle Mac and Cheese looked like it sat in the window for to long, the cheese topping was cold and hard....it lacked any essence of truffle and the pasta was undercooked....the Kobe sliders were tough to eat through and lacked any seasoning..at least offer salt at the table of the chef lacks any interest in tasting the food before it even reaches the pass...the fries were the only decent item. Dessert was a bust and lacked any effort.....if your going to put a twist on a classic Elvis delight at least to it some justice....Lacked flavor, execution and over all presentation....The cocktails were executed great....Now Dress Code.....This place used to bring some elegance and style to DTLA...More than half the guys in the building were wearing ripped jeans, sneakers and no collar shirts...it matched the music the dj was playing...there used to be a good blend of genres and yet it lacked anything remotely to what was played in the past.....overall Anniversary Dinner/Date night was a bust!

I seriously had at least 6 people check to be sure I had a reservation. I felt like I was doing something wrong. That was in addition to having to confirm twice by phone. Also, you have to bring cash for their cover charge, even if you plan to dine there and meet their $50 min per person. You'll also need cash if you want a shot. Overall great place and I liked the show and food/drinks, but the service was... Strange.
