   Good food we choose the wrong to go out to eat In a pub. Forgetting the Rugby wea on.

   On a Saturday night the dinner tables are sandwiched between 2 parties, it was way too noisy for conversation, people passing by the tables all the time. Not a well thought out table layout for those eating and those partying.

   Had made a booking for my birthday. Arrived couldn’t find any staff . Found a waiter who was sullen and unfriendly. Tables in restaurant were all dirty . All empty so not sure why none had been cleared. Service was slow despite there being no other diners. One waitress was really lovely and was working hard to help. The rest of the staff couldn’t be bothered to- had to go and find people to help with drinks order. Lazy restaurant- won’t go back. Food was nice but that’s all I can say.

   One Male member of staff rude while serving! Female membes of staff fantastic but could not believe how rude the male member of staff was!

   It was all alright. Nothing amazing. Potatoes and chicken were a bit dry, staff were a bit few in number to serve quickly. The food was all eaten, but for £20 mains, £7-8 dessert, needs to be better. Staff were all very nice, wine was delicious and the ambience was good.

    The quality of the food was very poor. We ordered two roast sunday lunch (pork) and two kids menu’. The Yorkshire pudding and the vegetables were not fresh (likely cooked the day before and warmed in the microwave). The roast was poor quality and pre-coocked. The steak from the kids menu was small and overcoocked (we ordered medium-rare). Food arrived in 5 minutes that means was precoocked. The room was cold because every few minutes someone opened a very noisy back door to access the garden). We were very disappointed and left without ordering the pudding.
