We love the Grove! My husband had the tortilla soup and lamb chops (best soup he has ever had). I had the Strawberry chevre salad and the free range chicken. Both were excellent! We also had spicy ginger margheritas. So good! The Grove is a must if you are in the downtown area and are looking for a great place to dine.

Food flavor is spot on. I had the filet mignon with Au Gratin potatoes. Filet was cooked perfectly medium and the seasoning wasn't overpowering and really complimented the beef. The Au Gratin potatoes were flavorful, nice sized portion. From previous visits, the noise level can get pretty loud so I was glad that we were seated in a corner away from the front entrance. I also had the coconut sorbet which was a nice treat after dinner. The sorbet was full of flavor but not too sweet. The only downfall....it took forever for our check to come. They had one staff member making his way around the entire restaurant ringing up our checks. We had a table of 6 and I guess because we were located in the far corner, he reached our table last. Also...I would have preferred to leave my own tip versus the 20% add on. It would have been nice to be given an advance notice of this.

Dinner at The Grove has always been a downtown Houston treat! The service was attentive but not intrusive and our dinners were just great! The window views of families enjoying Discovery Green give weeknight activities accessibility and a festive atmosphere. A great favorite for good food, good service and a change of pace.

We had a lovely lunch. The menu was not extensive but quite unique and varied. We shared a goat cheese & strawberry spinach salad—light and tasty— and blue crab enchiladas with marscspone sauce! Delicious!!

Ambience was nice. Bar is very well stocked. Service was good, not great. Food was very average for the price. Not sure I would go back to this place with all the other steak options in the area.

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants. Went today and the menu is completely different. Spoiler alert: they got it wrong. If you were a fan of the wings, lobster Mac and others stellar dishes, they are no longer in the menu. Sorry to say it, but today was our last day going. RIP to the Groove and good food.
