    My friend and I came for dinner reserved for 5.30pm. My friend arrived early about 4,55pm. The receptionist gave a but of attitude asking the time when other guest will arrive. I said table isn't booked until 5.30pm, but she was rude to me. Eventually, she was escorted to table where she received more attitude. She said because she was early she will sit at the bar and have a drink until I arrive, but the waitress said that the table is only for 1hr 45mins as from my arrival. After challenging the table is reserved for 5.30pm, My friend was given drinks menu for the bar - but the table was given to someone else when 5.30pm arrived. The floor manager was a lot more sympathetic and showed us to another table.

    No more sourdough at breakfast, even though it’s still on the menu. Fairly boring menu, nothing particularly creative. Very good scrambled eggs, tasty hash browns, but the rest was boring and mediocre.

    As usual, the Garden room at the Ivy Kensington is leafy, airy but also cosy. Quiet enough to chat and warm enough on a chilly day because of the heaters. The service is good, very professional and courteous. The food is consistently good. Thank you
