This was the worst meal we have had in our thirty years as a Baton Rouge couple. We have enjoyed this restaurant in years past and we shocked at its decline. The young staff seemed overwhelmed. First our soup (lobster bisque) came out cold. After a long wait we were brought new soup, which we found inedible due to the excessive liquid pepper in it. The chicken piccata was like warm, flavorless, and the piccata sauce thick and bland. We left as fast as we could. Never going back.

Great service! Wish I could remember her name as she was a fantastic waitress. Overall the entire party loved their meals and the bread. I found the music was just slightly louder than I would like for business lunch conversation.

Our experience would have been better if it hadn’t been disturbed by the child at the next table making constant shrill noises. Of course, this wasn’t the restaurant’s fault. However, the food took too long to be served, although it was good. Our server seemed to be in charge of too many tables.

Food was very good, except the lobster bisque - something was off in the flavor and it was served lukewarm. Gumbo was good tho’. Service great, but sometimes lagged. Noise level though - the background music was too loud. I don’t understand this - it’s an all too common occurrence at restaurants now.

The food is always good, so that’s never in question. Their wait staff is courteous and helpful. No matter which of us is there, my circle of friends think it’s one of the best restaurants in Baton Rouge.
