Just around the corner from Bath's Royal Crescent, The Marlborough Tavern combines the atmosphere of a local pub with the food quality you’d expect of a top restaurant. Two AA rosettes, and inclusions in The Michelin Guide and Good Food Guide bear testimony to the quality of both food and service. It’s no wonder it's won the Bath Gastropub of the Year title more than any competitors.

Food is essentially, though not slavishly, English in character and takes advantage of locally sourced produce wherever possible. Its food reputation is matched by their service - always friendly and attentive without being intrusive, and there's an extensive wine list and selection of local ales to choose from. The Marlborough's pub garden is arguably Bath’s finest; a walled courtyard space, that’s perfect for summertime lunching and drinking.

Is a lovely Gastropub near The Royal Crescent. Staff are fruendly and professional. Been there several tikes when stsying in Bath. Good choice of food but as a non garlic llover, I should have avoided the mushroom rissoto. Their fush and chips and steak are excellent. Can be a little noisy at busy times as children and dogs there but has a happy atmosphere.

Very rude and unaccommodating staff. Left after our appetizers were served and went to a different pub close by, and had a much better experience. And don’t expect a fireplace, even when it’s freezing outside.

Been visiting Bath for a number of years and I must say The Marlborough tavern is by far the best gastro pub in Bath. Located in a quiet corner of the city the moment you walk in you are greeted by a lovely fire place which makes it feel very cozy. The food is totally delicious and locally sourced and very well priced and the staff and very friendly and efficient. Can’t wait for our next visit.
