   Usually the Morgan Arms is great but today they run out of most items on their menu and didn’t tell us that until after we had sat down and ordered drinks, so it was to late to leave.

   It was very loud so we could barely hear eachother. Roast lamb was terrible value and poor -- a few thin slices of very overcooked lamb. Also the gravy was an unpleasant slime/gel like consistency. The dessert was nice though, as was the service and staff.

   Hi Padcraig, Sunday lunch is our busiest time of the week so we apologise if it was a bit too noisy at the time of your visit. We appreciate the kind comments about the staff, service and desserts. Very disappointed to hear that the Roast lamb let us down, we absolutely would have replaced your dish if it was not to your liking. We appreciate all feedback and opportunity to improve and the gravy does not sound like our usual standard at all. We would love the opportunity to rectify this.    We love this pub the food is always excellent and the setting is so nice. Even with reactive dog and an energetic baby, everyone is so nice. The service is always brilliant especially Sarah who served our table this weekend and has done before. She’s really lovely and so attentive! Would always highly recommend the Morgan arms :)

   Busy New Years Eve so it may be that the kitchen and staff were under additional pressure that impacted on our visit. Whilst the starters were lovely the mains were really not up to much - the steak was sinewy, the fish batter was soggy and the chips were really dry. Well presesented but didn't live up to expectations. We waited almost half an hour for drinks at one point - and felt that the table waiting staff were not particularly attentive. However, as stated it was NYE and busy.
