Located within Denver’s historic Tramway Building, originally opened in 1911, The Nickel pays homage to the space that was once used to collect fare from customers riding its resident streetcars: a nickel. Just as the building in which The Nickel is housed has a storied past, the dishes found on the menu at The Nickel all have a story. We proudly serve menus that incorporate the highest quality ingredients from farmers, ranchers, distillers and craft producers, and is comprised of dishes that are easily recognizable and feel simple, but eat complex.

Even though every table was full, service was fast and the food was delicious. The mushroom toast appetizer and the burger were outstanding.

Lovely breakfast. The food looked beautiful and was delicious. Such a gorgeous space, also. Good place to eat before matinee performances at the Denver Performing Arts Center. We had great service, also!

Very good food. Drinks a bit overpriced. Service great. Excellent spot for before the theater. Would like to see a slightly larger menu, currently too limited.

The service was great. Friendly, inviting and attentive. The food taste was average, but for the experience, I think the quality of the product should be much better. Example - The strawberries on my brunch banana bread French toast were clearly cut days in advance, perhaps refrigerated uncovered because they were shriveled. The French toast was good, different but not hot and the syrup option is a pass. The salmon benedict was agreeable, tasty but not served on fry bread like the menu states, just the standard English muffin. The decor is open, bright and period perfect. Location great if you are theatre bound!

Lovely restaurant but we had very slow service. Waited 15 minutes for coffee and over half hour for breakfast. Staff was cordial but needs some organization no Sunday morning.
