For Jeff Ruby, this is the steakhouse that started it all. In 1981, The Precinct was born in the former Cincinnati Police Patrol House Number 6. This turn-of-the-century, Romanesque-style structure would hold what is now the longest, continuously running fine dining restaurant in the city.
Recently named one of America's Top 10 Steakhouses by USA Today and Gayot.com, The Precinct is frequently recognized as having Cincinnati’s best steaks, seafood, and service.                                                                                                         Service and food was excellent. A little mishap on dessert but nothing that ruined the evening. Restaurant and management of guests was excellent considering it was a busy night because of Valentine’s Day. Good Manager visibility that was actual hands on during the evening. The 70 day dry aged cowboy steak probably my new steak now! Overall great evening and the Valet Team still the best in terms of customer service, being polite and respectful!

                                                                                                        We have been enjoying The Ruby experience for years at all three locations in the Cincinnati area. Last night we went to the Precinct for our 43rd anniversary. Yes, we choice one of the Jeff Ruby restaurants to celebrate this day. We both ordered the special, lobster tail and steak. We have ordered this same meal special in the past and have always enjoyed it with a five-star rating. Last night it didn't receive the high marks. The steak was changed to a very thin New York Strip Steak. My steak was to be served as medium, it was medium well and very dry. My wives was to be served as medium rare, it was medium but was a little thicker. There was something missing in the overall experience last night. I'm sad to be giving this an overall rating of 3.5, but the facts are the facts.
