The Royal Oak offers simple, unfussy, Michelin rated food, ten luxurious bedrooms, award winning real ales, roaring log fires and a quite beautiful walled beer garden with al fresco dining under a leafy vine terrace.

Lovely pub in a pretty village with a gorgeous restaurant adjoined at the back. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, and we enjoyed our meal here whilst staying in the area.

As always Royal Oak can impress and deliver. We had our foreign guests from work over the weekend and decided to book Royal Oak. The interior impressed our guest giving the same time feeling of friendly family English pub. Service was outstanding, meals landed quite quickly on our table even tho use seems quite busy on Friday night. Food was delicious and really well presented. Especially tasty were creeps with salmon from the weekend seafood menu. Over 5 stars according to our guests and us.

Busy Sunday service. Food was fine and having been here many times before I know they can do much better. Price for two is steep but let’s support these local enterprises.
