   The orange tiramisu was a disappointment. The ladyfingers had not been soaked so you couldn’t get a fork in. Sloppy deconstruction of a classic. Just soak the ladyfingers in orange liqueur then assemble as usual. The parfaits presentation just doesn’t work.

   We came for a celebration dinner and the experience was top notch! From the beginning, our server, Matt was excellent in his recommendations, especially for my daughter who must eat gluten free. Everything we ordered was delicious, from the filet mignon to the fish to the pasta. Highly recommend -

   I was very excited for our recent dinner at Saddle River Inn, celebrating my daughter’s 24th bday! What a lovely place and I was super psyched for a French restaurant experience. No doubt, SRI’s food and ambiance is top notch and their servers are the best of the best. I had the crab-coleslaw salad, with Asian dressing. I would have preferred a wonderful champagne-vinaigrette. If you call yourself French, BE French. My daughter’s sea scallops and my chicken entree were beautifully seared. Perfect. And, the sides (Brussels sprouts, carrots, asparagus, al a carte), were cooked to perfection. Good sized, side- portions too… as well as for entrees. (Hadn’t been to SRI in a few years, but I distinctly recall eating a fabulous meal there several years ago … but recall that the portions were sooo tiny! I mean …. My dessert was literally 3 tiny bites! ) My fiancé and daughter loved their oysters they had for an app. They looked beautiful (although, admittedly not my thing). Apple tart for dessert was incredible. And, the 3 small chocolate chip cookies they brought out for my daughter’s bday, with a candle… hit the spot and was a lovely surprise, as was the pumpkin soup taster before our entrees. Please, Please , Chef Jamie, bring back your French - restaurant roots. There are so few good French restaurants in BC. 🙏🏻 or, offer a French Prix Fix menu 1-2 times per week. That would be fabulous.

   A must place to visit in Saddle River. If you want a romantic fabulous BYOB dining experience, you must visit The Saddle River Inn. The menu is gourmet, unique and delicious. The duck special has been the best I have ever experienced. The service and ambience are top notch. My husband and I will definitely go back soon and request the cozy upstairs room.

   First visit for an anniversary dinner. Very pleasant experience. The meal was excellent. Service was outstanding. Great destination to celebrate an anniversary.

    Felt like we had gone to an Inn in the mountains of New Hampshire. All staff were kind and welcoming. Food outstanding. We had tuna carpaccio as an an appetizer, filet mignon and lamb chops as mains, and the apple tart as dessert. All dishes were wonderfully spiced, making them very special. Plan to return again and again.
