Thank you for a wonderful meal. The fried mac and cheese was sooo good and something we will come back for! We always love the brussel sprout appetizer, paper plane cocktail, and the staff at your restaurant. Thank you!

I've heard a lot about this restaurant, so we finally went there to try it out. It was OK. I liked the food, but it wasn't amazing. They put an egg on everything, which was a little odd. The Duck Fat Fries were super crispy, but they put a runny egg on them, which ruined half the fries. And the dipping sauce had little flavor. My husband got the beef shoulder, which was tasty and good, but there was an egg on it. And it was like pot roast from the crock pot, nothing too spectacular for the price. I got the Farm Salad which was pretty good but, drowning in dressing. The wine selection was OK and the server was great and attentive. I was disappointed overall after all I had heard about this place.

Food and service did not disappoint for our first time to experience this popular restaurant. Deviled eggs were to die for as well as the crispy brussel sprout leaves and melt in your mouth collard greens. The reasonably priced tenderloin with mushrooms added was well prepared but slightly over cooked; the server quickly replaced with another that was delicious.

We love The Salty Sow but we don’t always have time to visit. They offer a lot of good deals on the menu and their appetizers during happy hour are a good variety. We would highly recommend this place as a great place locally!

We enjoyed an evening with old friends on a Sunday night. We feasted on duck fat fries, Brussels sprouts, deviled eggs, chicken, field green salad and broccolini; all followed by banana beignets and ice cream. It was quiet enough for conversation, which we appreciated immensely. The drinks were slow to arrive, but likely due to our ordering a bourbon not on the menu.

Absolutely the best service in Austin, thank you Tony and team. From the hosts, bartenders , servers, floor manager and bussers it is obvious the staff care for their guest with the same passion & exemplary professionalism that the Chef and kitchen team do. Our meal was delicious! The Farmers Salad was beyond amazing. As an Organic Farmer for a living I rarely order salads out, I cannot pump this salad up enough. The Salmon was perfectly cooked, as were the fries. Do not sit on the charcuterie board. The chicken liver mousse, home made pickles, fresh bread paired with the additional meats/cheese will start your meal with complete joy. Thank you SS! We’ll definitely be back!

This is so amazing to hear! The Farm Salad is one of my favorite dishes, and I'm so glad we added it to the main menu. Tony is actually one of our newest servers, so I'm going to pass your praises along to him. That will make his day. Thank you for your review! -Grace, GM
