The Strand House is a sophisticated yet comfortable family-owned restaurant conceived by a small group of South Bay families out of their love for great food, wine and friends. With floor to ceiling glass windows and 180° sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean, world travelers and locals alike may come for the view, but stay for Chef Chris Park’s Coastal California Cuisine.

Our menu highlights the bounty of produce available year round in Southern California. Each week, our chefs roam the farmers market sourcing directly from the best farmers and purveyors around. The Strand House is also home to a thoughtful and carefully crafted cocktail and wine program that is sure to please each of our guests.

We are located in beautiful downtown Manhattan Beach, just steps from the famous Manhattan Beach Pier. The Strand House offers a five-star experience with the warmth and hospitality you would expect from a beach town, where each guest is treated like family.

Excellent service! I celebrated my birthday here and they made the experience so wonderful! The crab cakes were delicious! The grilled Branzino paired with the risotto created a perfect dish!

The ambiance and service was excellent…. The food was a disappointment. My party went for brunch and ordered the branzino, barbacoa tacos and burger. We all felt the food was underseasoned and needed more flavor. Something was missing! I’ll go again to try something else on the menu just for the vibes and hopefully the food is much better.

Dine LA lunch experience was fantastic / actually gave a lot of food / 3 courses and everything was delicious. Thé Rotini with shrimp was superb and so flavorful - big recommend and the chai donut is a new favorite. I would definitely go back! Wonderful hostess, Stephanie, showed us around and was so friendly and welcoming!

Booked well in advance for an anniversary - requested a window table - they tried to put us outside crammed amongst three large parties. Settled in an indoor table between a large family and another couple. Hard to talk when you can hear the conversation at table next to you. Food and service is great but being so crammed kind of takes away from the date night experience. Better to go with groups of four or more.
