The Strand House is a sophisticated yet comfortable family-owned restaurant conceived by a small group of South Bay families out of their love for great food, wine and friends. With floor to ceiling glass windows and 180° sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean, world travelers and locals alike may come for the view, but stay for Chef Chris Park’s Coastal California Cuisine.

Our menu highlights the bounty of produce available year round in Southern California. Each week, our chefs roam the farmers market sourcing directly from the best farmers and purveyors around. The Strand House is also home to a thoughtful and carefully crafted cocktail and wine program that is sure to please each of our guests.

We are located in beautiful downtown Manhattan Beach, just steps from the famous Manhattan Beach Pier. The Strand House offers a five-star experience with the warmth and hospitality you would expect from a beach town, where each guest is treated like family.

    Well here’s a bunch of unnecessary ratings and horrible punctuation.. We got the tomahawk steak @$185 and it was ok 5/10. Truffle Pizza 5/10 it’s all cheese and truffle… some pancetta, mushrooms, and one or two less cheeses would’ve brought up the number. The dough was fresh and light, very good. I had a couple of the craft cocktails and they were perfectly made! 10/10! Desserts are amazing 10/10!! Chocolate cake, doughnuts, and cheesecake all super tasty! View is amazing, service was perfect, and all of the staff were very pleasant and attentive. We will be back to try more dishes!

    The food, specifically the whole snapper, shrimp cocktail, yellowtail crudo were outstanding, as well as the ambience. You can’t beat the ocean sunset view outside their large picturesque window. Also, the hostess was kind enough to honor our request to sit at a table by the window (highly recommend!) I’m docking a star because desserts were just ok, the tiramisu texture felt off from other tiramisu we’ve had, and the donuts were warm and fresh like Sidecar albeit smaller, but nothing to shout home about.

    The food was very tasty however the service was lackluster. The waiter was very lost and barely checked on us. We had the bus boy get our waiter several times. No attention to detail and very inappropriate over the table reaching. I would not recommend and will not be returning.

    Loved the view even on a cloudy day. Front desk very attentive and polite. Crab cake appetizer was very good. Lots of crab eat and not oily. Asked the waiter for a recommendation between the chicken sandwich and the short rib sandwiches. He recommended the chicken but wish it was explained it was breaded as I’m not a fan of fried and breaded chicken. Brussel sprout sides were seasoned and cooked well. Salad with jicama and side shrimp was lacking flavor and ingredients. It was mostly butternut lettuce and the shrimp was served cold. I thought it was grilled and warm. Amazing hot brown sugar latte and homemade donuts. Total cost…No cocktails, just water, appetizers, 2 meals, latte and donuts…$136. I left a bit hungry and wonder if my guest did too. I would come back for appetizers, cocktails to enjoy the view, hit latte and the caramel/vanilla donuts.

    All staff was lovely and very friendly. I dined alone and was checked on periodically. The food was superb. I’d highly recommend
