A chic and sophisticated décor provides the setting for our distinctive "world cuisine", a provocative mix of zesty influences that creates a delightful dining experience in Palm Springs, California. Plush high-backed semicircular banquettes surround our dining room and offer comfortable and private seating. The cuisine has a light, exotic feel with an emphasis on Pacific Rim specialties, from Chilean Sea Bass baked in Banana Leaves or Kahlua-Barbecued Pork Chops to all sorts of tasty tapas, salads, wood-fired pizzas, and desserts. The Coral Seas Lounge, a hip mid-century style bar is lined with sexy black leather bar-stools and is reminiscent of the upbeat lounges of old Palm Springs. It wraps around the dining room and leads outside to a lush, tropical, 2000 square foot dining patio where a variety of specialty cocktails and old-school favorites are mixed - an ideal place where friends gather and martinis are sipped under the starlit desert sky.

                                Palm Springs thinks it's a great restaurant town. It's not. With that in mind: Tropicale is a stand out - about the best we have here. Yeah - I know the owner has a rep (read his responses to negative Yelp reviews) BUT - been twice in the past 2 weeks. Both times: Excellent service, great food. Memorable. My guests enjoyed the experience, as did I. Compared to other eateries (with overpriced pretentious trendy menus) Tropicale delivers a memorable dining experience.

                                Excellent cocktails & lunch at outdoor bar. Albina (bartender) was attentive, helpful & mixed terrific martinis! Enjoyed coconut martini, peach Bellini martini, fried chicken salad & grilled chicken gyro. Nice atmosphere at the bar with delightful conversation with other patrons.

                                We loved our waiter. She was fabulous. The food was delicious & the vibe was nice outside. First dinner in vacation was great. We will be back.

                                Drinks, service and food were all good. The prices have escalated quite a bit and I am not sure they equate with the quality of the food. Overall, a fun place but not sure about the price point.

                                Tropicale is always consistent. Very pleasant setting, especially in the outside patio. Food is always good -not through the roof good but consistently good and predictable. Table seating was not great — our party of three was crammed into a small round bistro table in an awkward spaces. The owners should perhaps consider client comfort before crowding in too many tables. The serving and table teams are wonderful — friendly and attentive. I will come back many times.

                                Can’t wait to come back. The food blew our expectations out of the water - get the fried rice! - and the champagne was delish and plentiful. Everyone was friendly and fun! Don’t hesitate - just go!
