   We just returned from Spain having dined in several 2star Michelin restaurants. Our dinner at the Turquoise Room was as delicious if not better than anything we had in Spain.

   The history of this hotel adds to the charm. Lunch was very good. The homemade soup a standout. We will go back for dinner which we have heard is a special experience.

   We tacked on an extra day to our road trip to experience the Turquoise Room based on some family’s recommendations. We booked at the hotel, paid a house sitter and drove more than an hour out of our way - excited to do so. We went to the bar for a cocktail before our reservation and waited 20 minutes for service. No exaggeration. The staff was polite about it and we were ok. But then we got sat for dinner. After another 15 minutes and no one acknowledging us, we decided it just wasn’t worth it. The manager did call after us as we reached the front door and we give her credit for that, but it was so disappointing to have gone out of our way, prepared to spend a couple hundred dollars in addition to the room rate and receive such poor service and then no service. We don’t know how the Turquoise Room is — we didn’t get that far despite all the distance we traveled to do so.

   What stood out the most for my friend and me during our lunch today was the excellent customer service from every single person in the Turquoise room! The food was fantastic as well! Soup and dessert were phenomenal! We’ll be back.

   We try and stop here any time we drive through Arizona. This time we were fortunate enough to have time for dinner AND breakfast! The food is outstanding and screams “local ingredients.” Everything is tasty and hot and just eating there surrounded by the history of the place is enjoy.

   Second visit after five years. Still great. The hotel is full of areas to marvel at the decor and art. Had a great special art showing also. My wife had the same wonderful dish from t years ago - southwest veg platter. I had a superb chicken mole with a scrumptious tamale. The Mexican martini was superb although the first did not arrive until our salad was nearly eaten. Be back in five.

    Always a treat. Interesting choices on the menu. Presentation and food are great. Service is exemplary. Have never had a bad meal.
