Chef Gaetano Ascione brings international flair to Indiana. A native of Italy, and fluent in five languages, Chef Gaetano Ascione brings international flair to Munster, with experience, teaching, owning restaurants, consulting, and running hotels on four continents – Asia, Europe, Africa and North America. He served both Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan as Chef de Cuisine at the Georgetown Club in Washington, D.C., and served as Executive Chef for the Inaugural Banquet for President Nelson Mandela in South Africa.

He is a member of the Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs 1248-1950, the American Culinary Federation, and the Gruppo Virtuale Cuochi Italiani. Ascione was a finalist in the “Chef of the Year” competition at the World Gourmet Summit in Singapore in 2001.

    Ambiance was gorgeous and our waitress was friendly. She made sure that we had a great experience. Enjoyed our cocktails, Chai Town and Getting Figgy With It. We had the lamb and sirloin steak which were both juicy and delicious! For dessert, we had the salted caramel gelato and it har the perfect amount of sweetness. We will definitely be back to try more dishes!

    Very friendly (personable) and excellent service. We love the little carts used to bring items to the table. Interesting food & drink menu. Wines by the glass are limited, but they are really good, served at the right temperature. Food (beautifully served) is very good, but still misses the punch to be exceptional. We found ourselves a new local gem, whether we want to do casual BBQ in the bar area of upscale Italian in the restaurant. Nice place, by the way.

    I had the rack of lamb which was cooked perfectly - so tender - and the fingerling potatoes and eggplant casserole complimented it well. Also had the thin apple pie dessert and the let’s get figgy bourbon drink. My friend did the salmon canneloni with a blended red win. All very delicious and will definitely be back. The atmosphere was very good as well.

    Our server Jennifer was attentive and delightful. We all enjoyed the crab cake appetizers. The veal scallopini piccata was delicious. Nice wine and dessert selections. Ambiance is lovely. We will definitely go back!
