   We’ve been frequent visitors since this location opened. Saturday night was very disappointing. We had movie tickets and informed our waitress that we had only an hour and 15 minutes to eat. We ordered appetizers—dumplings and Brussels sprouts. The dumplings were, at best, lukewarm. Our super nice server returned to the table and told us the sprouts weren’t available. We ordered the charred cauliflower. 10 minutes later she returned to tell us that appetizer wasn’t available either. We wound up with hummus. We waited and waited for the main course—lasagne which obviously isn’t made to order. We were literally about to leave without eating when it finally arrived. With just 10 minutes left, we had to pack it up into boxes after a few bites. Our waitress was very frustrated with the kitchen and so were we. For $100 for 2–before tip—this wasn’t a good experience. Please do better True Food. When 2 appetizers are unavailable at 19:00 on a Saturday night—and there’s no offer to comp the third selection—something is very wrong. And, nobody should wait an hour for a dish that only requires reheating.

   The food was excellent as always. They always take great care to cater to the allergies we have in our party. Our waiter, Meesha, was very good. We had a small mixup with one of our meals and they fixed it promptly and without any further issues. They even gave us a free scoop of ice cream with our dessert to apologize. We love this place!

   Food tastes great, I had an ancient grain salad with sustainable salmon and ice tea. It was over $40 with a tip.. Pricey.. can do same salad at home for a fraction. But overall nice ambiance, fast / attentive service and plenty of parking nearby in garages. Mosaic is a lovely area, rich suburbian mom hangout. Yoga pants central!!

   I love this place. Excellent, healthy food choices. Wide menu that has options for everyone, vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, Keto, etc. Xaria, our server, was a breathe of fresh air with a smile. Good recommendations and just the right level of attention during my business meeting. I would always love to get more for my money, but things aren't priced like they used to be any longer. My comment on their Value, was not a complaint as much as a commentary on the new normal of quality food options.

   We had a lovely waitress. I was pleasantly surprised to have several vegan offerings! Had the Ancient grain bowl with a tofu protein. It was very flavorful and delicious!

   I have dined at True Food Kitchen restaurants all over the country and the Fairfax location is the best. The greeters, servers, cooks, managers – they’re all outstanding employees. Whoever designed the interior of the Fairfax/mosaic restaurant should be complimented – the beautiful tree trunk display on the wall – incredible. Kale salads – always a pleaser. But the real strength of the restaurant are the delightful and consistently pleasant staff.
