Ulele (pronounced you-lay-lee) celebrates the vibrant fusion of ingredients from Florida waters and land once home to many Native Americans, including the legendary young princess Ulele.

Located on the Hillsborough River in Tampa Heights, 400 yards from the Straz Center for the Performing Arts. Indoor and outdoor waterfront dining. Lunch and dinner daily. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Featuring intricately flavored, visually appealing dishes prepared on our 10' round barbacoa grill.

Ulele operates in the lovingly re-imagined 1903 Tampa Heights Water Works building, which also includes its Ulele Spring Brewery to provide a number of craft beers on tap. Next door to Water Works Park.

Casual attire is fine, but we don’t allow sleeveless shirts on men in the indoor dining rooms.

    Service and food were fabulous. Menu broad enough for everybody. Noise level low!! What an awesome location on the water. Free parking! Only complaint had a lot of trouble scanning the validated ticket to leave the parking lot. Scanner not working well.

    The food was excellent! My husband and I both loved our entrees and the Honeymoon Lager. We even got dessert and the bourbon butter cake was decadent. Our server was very kind and attentive. I believe his name was Austin. He constantly kept our drinks filled and made sure we were taken care of. We live 40 minutes away and we would drive back!

    The staff was pleasant. We were seated promptly. The food was good for the value. They give huge portions. It was my first time to celebrate my birthday. It’s a real busy area with limited parking but we had no issues at this time. The service was good. I had the seafood rissotto and I found it underseasoned and overcooked shrimp and lobster rubbery. The scallops were cooked perfectly. We had Mac n cheese and crab cakes as appetizers and that was good. My husband had the chili and it was spicy and heavily seasoned well. My husband and son had the meatloaf and it was really good. My other son had the grouper and it was seasoned and cooked well. We tried the key lime dessert and chocolate cake with jam and both didn’t disappoint. The ambiance is nice.

    We started with the charbroiled oysters, crab cakes and wedge salad. All were good portions, fresh and favorable. We wish we had more butter sauce to dip the bread with the oysters, but still excellent. Jocelyn our server was just terrific and her trusty delivery staff made sure the food was hot and served to the right person. Great Job we will be back again.
