As a 30-year vegetarian, I can say this is hands-down some of the best vegan food I've ever had (equal to its predecessor restaurant Horizon, which was created by the same couple). But at over $100 for two people, it is profoundly disappointing to leave the restaurant and be hungry 2 hours later, because that's how small the portions are! I'm 5'2", spouse is 5'5" -- both average weight -- and he woke up in the middle of the night with hunger pains! I can't imagine how average- or even large-sized people could feel satisfied with these food portions. It's also so unnecessary. Some of the entries are super rich and need to be taken in small portions, but why not, for example, provide a big steaming bowl of the pea leaves instead of 8 spoons' worth? It had one delicious but very lonely sliver of tofu in the whole pot; why not dish out 8 of them? This was true for so many of the dishes. We didn't order any drinks or any alcohol, and only one desert, and our bill still came to $110 (+ $20 tip). No matter how delicious the food was, we probably won't be coming back. This makes us both very melancholy! This restaurant is a great example to meat-eaters that healthy vegan food truly can delight the senses, but it communicates the sad message that we have the appetites of a bird!

Had read about Vedge and decided to try when we were in Phillie for a wedding. Was the BEST!!! We were lucky enough to have the most delightful and knowledgable server and the food was simply outstanding...Creative, unexpected, beautifully presented and delicious! The next day we went to V-Street for brunch and loved that, as well!

Food very small portions of tasty quality fare but.... Noise levels above reason with no attempts in decor to soften acoustics, and that's with ample empty tables. Service sullen and completely incorrect. Pleasant bar service but reception, food runners and server sullen and unwilling to assist first time guest navigate menu. Encountering a section labeled "Dirt" may lead to questions, ya think? Nine dishes delivered for 3 diners, and none were presented to person ordering. Dropped plates and ran off. Don't expect a check back. If you want to pay big bucks for lousy attitude, be unable to hear your companions to enjoy nibbles of vegetables, try Whole Foods.

The food was perfect and the small plates were timed nicely. The waiter was well informed and articulate. The busboys were invaluable.

This was our second meal at Vedge and was again a revelatory experience. The chefs are wizards at making the most extraordinary treats with humble ingredients. Rutabaga Fondue? Who would imagine, but after you lick the bowl clean you'll want to sit up like a dog and beg for more. Trust them. Whatever you order, it will be delicious and surprising.

Best restaurant, not just best vegan, but best food overall. Every bite is amazing and worth the price. This is a place I'd visit once a season, to get the most of the current season's menu and produce. Definitely a must-go!

This was my first time to Vedge. I had wanted to go for a while, and it definitely lived up to expectations. The food was fantastic. I'm a vegetarian, but my husband is a picky omnivore, and I was worried that he wouldn't like anything. My worries were unfounded as he loved the meal, and was talking about coming back before we even got to dessert! This is such a great place to get yummy vegan food, and we will definitely be back!
