   The Server was unattentive for the first 10 minutes of being seated. The food was just okay for the price. Upon receiving the bill I was overcharged for my single glass of wine and was challenged with a questionable charge. I purposely went to Biltmore after the horrendous hurricane to support this community. Everywhere else on the property, everyone was gracious and thankful for patrons coming except for this restaurant ONLY. All the restaurants were wonderful. I'm hopeful this was just an exception.

   My dining experience at Village Social was outstanding. I had the same server for both dinners and she was a delight. The only complaint I would have is that I never had time to finish my cocktail before the meal was served. I will be back.

   The service was very good and management was very accommodating as I had to change my reservation at the last minute as my tour at Biltmore ran late. The she crab soup was delicious and chock full of crabmeat. The shrimp and grits were tasty however the snapper in a Cajun butter sauce which was supposed to be spicy was incredibly bland and worse yet, the snapper was so overcooked that it was inedible. Fortunately our server and management did the right thing and removed it from our bill. They also insisted on bringing us a small dessert that we shared.

   We had great wait staff and the food was great. The fire alarm went off just as our food was set down. Everyone had to evacuate for about 20 minutes until the fire department could check it out. When we reentered the restaurant, our waitress immediately entered the order to the kitchen and the fresh, hot food was delivered soon! The manager also came by and apologized for the inconvenience. Overall they handled the situation as good as they could and the food or service did not suffer.

   Great dinner to top off a wonderful day! Haley provided us with exceptional service. Her recommendations were spot on, and she was just the right amount of attentive. The manager on duty came by towards the end of our meal to make sure that we were delighted which was an impressive touch. And the star of the experience… The food! It was delicious! My friend had the bean soup and I had the she crab soup, both of which were so tasty. Then we enjoyedan order of the brussels sprouts roasted with bacon and completely enjoyed them. For our entrées, we had the meatloaf with carrots and scallop potatoes. Everything was absolutely delectable. This was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a very long time.
