   Table for four all had the prix fixe menu, which had a good number of interesting choices. Soup and Smokey beet salad were excellent. Calamari was nicely crispy but cut too thin and I couldn’t taste the squid at all. Prime rump was excellent, not much flavor to the curried chicken. One loved the scampi, one did not. Desserts were a bit on the smallish sidebut tasty. Overall, we were pleased with three evening

   We consistently have an excellent experience at Vine Street. The staff is genuine, happy and caring. The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is wonderful. And they are open year round on Shelter Island. Love that!

   This was a superlative experience. Food, room and service were all excellent. Everything was well prepared and presented. Service was attentive. The wine list could be a bit better but it’s a small negative.

   Our party of four had a very enjoyable Sunday dinner. The Prix Fixe menu was varied and a welcome bargain. Great service and a cozy dining room on a cool fall evening.

   I have heard many wonderful things about Vine Street Cafe so my husband and I were excited to have dinner with you I had the price fixe shrimp and linguini The shrimp was so small not proper size and Mostly linguini , since you advertise fresh fish the Shrimp was disappointing My husband had the chicken A small leg and thigh For the money charged on the regular menu there is no doubt that we would have sent the food back At the bar is where we sat hard to get the attention of the staff as it is quite the clicky spot for locals We did not want the dessert choices and ordered two Desserts off regular menu for which we were happy to Pay . After all I have heard about this restaurant I will not be running back

   Delightful dining experience marred by an excessive wait to be seated. Surprising that we had to wait 30 minutes to get to a table for a 645 dinner reservation. Unfortunate

   Vine street cafe should have a crash course in hospitality. As we entered, the host did not look up at us but stared at his computer and uttered the table number where we were seated by a hostess who looked so bored. A the end of he meal they made a $50 mistake on their favor and barely apologized. This does not leave a good taste to our experience.

    Disappointed in Branzino. Overcooked and minimal portion. First time that I have not had a great meal here.
