   Christmas Eve dinner at the Water Grill in Santa Monica went just like the one we had for my birthday about 4 weeks earlier, my wife had the Crispy Calamari and I had Chilean See bass, the good news was the calamaris were nice and crispy, that was the reason we went again on Christmas Eve. the Chilean See Bass I had the first time was good, but I opted out this time for the Wild Pacific Big Eye Tuna Poke, and we both shared a Caesars Salad and a bottle of Jordan , Russian River Chardonnay,everything was just perfect, we did have a small Clam Chowder soup, but it was not hot enough for our liking, we were there around sunset time, the sun was a little bother some since our table was at the window but the Manager 'Diego' took care of that, and the entire excursion turned out to great Christmas Eve dinner. We were also celebrating our 66th Anniversary, which was only 4 days earlier.

   I had one of the most wonderful servers ever. She did a great job and very attentive to our family. She went out of her way to make sure that my parents were having the best experience possible. The food was great. The atmosphere was very pleasant not very loud everyone in the family really enjoyed themselves. We had a variety of oysters, steaks The Chilean Seabass was amazing along with the Keylime pie

   Meh food. I had chowder which was under seasoned and the black cod, which was ok. For the money, the food should blow me away. It didn’t.

   I camd here Friday night with my wife and her parents. The waiter rushed us on a constant basis, it was not a pleasant experience. Definitely last time

   The restaurant is beautiful, the ambience is lovely, and the service staff definitely aims to please. We started off with an oyster, clam and scallop platter, which was excellent. We then shared the cioppino, which was superb. And as it was a birthday celebration for us, the water Grill provided a delicious dessert… Consisting of a large delicious cookie with ice cream and chocolate drizzled on top. We would definitely go here again, and I highly recommend it.

    We had a wonderful server. He was very accommodating, very professional very friendly although we are very disappointed in the scallops and the cold mashed potatoes and the lukewarm clown chowder. The food was so so I was kind of surprised because we spent a lot of money and it was average the ambience was great Good location but overall I give it only three stars. However, the manager did come over and offer us a dessert for the satisfactory experience. We appreciated that..
