   Great food, atmosphere and particularly service. Very energetic when we arrived and while she had several tables our server was attentive. A local favorite.

   Waterman Grille is one of our favorites from the Newport Restaurant Group. We were greeted by our server quickly however, cocktails were a bit slow to arrive (20mins but worth the wait). We had calamari and deviled eggs for appetizers. Both were tasty. The curried cauliflower soup was silky and habit forming. I could eat it everyday! Entrees included Beef Stroganoff, Cod and Pork Shank. All three were hearty portions & delicious. Our only complaints… and they wouldn’t keep us from returning- There’s no room in the entryway by the hostess stand. Be on time for a reservation because there’s nowhere to wait or have a pre-dinner cocktail. Also the restrooms are quite difficult to access. They’re in the basement and if anyone in your party has mobility issues it can pose a problem. We also felt this should be mentioned beforehand. Overall, we’d return. The food is the reason we always come back!

   One of our fave places. Just be sure they seat you in first floor where the vibe is. Also warmer there in colder months

   Lovely to have this restaurant back ! All the food was done perfectly- we had salmon,steak, waterman salad and mezze platter. The ambiance is always so comfortable for talking and relaxing! Service was attentive but not overly so - no rushing :) overall, a great experience for our group of 5!

   We enjoyed a great anniversary dinner. I had the hanger steak and my husband had the Barbecued Short Ribs. Everything was delicious.

   This restaurant deserves every bit of praise and accolade I could possibly give, every experience better than the last! It was our 2nd Wedding Anniversary and we were presented with a card signed by staff and a complimentary glass champagne and a non alcoholic version for me which was very thoughtful. As an extra surprise, we were delighted to be waited on by our favorite server, John which we have had the pleasure of being served by at other restaurants in the past . So wonderful that he has found a place on the team of this exceptional establishment! We shared a bowl of hot, silky onion Vichyssoise and also a delectable lamb lettuce wrap appetizer. For entrees we enjoyed the grilled pork chops served with homemade spaetzle Swiss chard and cornbread crumbles and the pan seared cod with tender butter beans and collard greens. Truly superb preparation and presentation by the skilled kitchen chefs! Martinis were perfection and as was my husband’s Irish coffee topped with real whipped cream! Service by all staff members was amazing and the ambiance sitting in the beautiful dining room with a view of the river is always a treat, especially for a special occasion. We look forward to many more sublime dining experiences at Waterman Grill, our very favorite restaurant in the outstanding Newport Restaurant Group!

   This was the first time we had been to the Waterman Grille and we were not disappointed at all. Our 2 children and their spouses came from 2 different states to celebrate my husbands 70th birthday on Sunday. Although the restaurant was very busy it didn't seem noisy or crowded at all. The service Andrew provided was excellent, and the food was exceptional. Rest rooms are difficult to get to as they are down a long staircase and around several hallways. We will definitely be back.
