The restaurant is gorgeous. The food and service were absolutely amazing. The prices are high but portions are huge. You definitely do not want to over order here. We (2 people) had 1 entree filet (12 oz), 1 entree ribeye (24 oz) and two sides (German potatoes and onion rings). That amount of food could easily have fed four people or more. We come to NYC once or twice a year and try a different steakhouse each time. Wolfgang’s is the best we have tried to date.

Service was poor. Some the dishes were way too salty They were slow to take order. They did not fill water glasses and took long time once we did request. Took food off the table before finished. They were not friendly. Overall not good experience.

The food was excellent as always. My only complaint was that we had a late reservation, so we were rushed to order and the food came out too quickly.

We choose one of the busiest times of the year to visit NYC and Wolfgang's steak house. Although we had a reservation at 8pm for a table of three it took the staff 10 minutes to seat us. They were very busy. The wait staff was attentive, but I feel that they were more interested in the larger parties. We saw four different waiters over the course of the dinner. Food was expensive as we expected and was also excellent. Salmon and Steak were cooked to perfection. The only issue we had was a very dirty water glass with something black floating in it. The waiter grabbed it and as he left the table just said sorry. I thought there should have been more of an apology for this caliber of a restaurant.

The waiter and bar staff were great. We made reservations but were late getting seated. The food was subpar, especially for the cost. The steaks were so salty and crusty they were hard to eat. The potatoes were half burnt and overly salty as well. We couldn’t finish our food and felt it was a waste for a lot of money. The chopped salad was good though.

Even though we had a reservation, we had to wait for 25 min to get a table. The table was at the bar, so the whole experience of the restaurant was not the way we expected it to be. The crust of the Filet Mignon was burnt and the fries were not fully cooked. We were quite disappointed as we were really looking forward to eating at this restaurant.
