   So happy we found our favorite restaurant to celebrate Christmas since our family is away. The buffet is the best. We had great service. It didn’t feel packed. Great they have outside eating. Prime rib was delicious:-)

   I tell myself every time I come here that I won’t come back, but they are the only restaurant that’s consistently open for holiday dining. And for that, I’m grateful that the staff comes in on holidays like NYE, and Christmas Day to work. However, the service is never great, even outside of holidays. The wait time for your food is exceptionally lengthy, and their inability to accommodate food allergies is preposterous. I asked for no cheese on my hash browns, they told me they came with it and they couldn’t remove it - hash browns came out with a thin layer of cheese on top that definitely was NOT mixed in with the hash to begin with. Steak was overcooked for my breakfast skillet, but other than that, food was worth the price. It’s affordable for brunch, but again, the service is so underwhelming each time, I’m kindly reminded why I don’t make it a point to come back often. If you have no where else to dine, it’s a great option, but next year I’ll be going elsewhere for Christmas brunch.

   A great beach dining experience. The beach and water setting is matched by exceptional food at reasonable prices. The cioppino is our favorite in all of SD.

   The lobster salad and lobster BLT are awesome. Great atmosphere and lots of good drink options! Highly recommend this restaurant.

   The service and food were awesome. The lobster melted in your mouth. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a great view of the beach and surf.

   Holiday buffet meal was good but not great. Choices felt limited for the cost. Prime rib was tender, and the lobster bisque were highlights, but cold seafood choices were small and although the artisan buns were delicious for some, without an alternative, non olive eaters didn't enjoy them.    On our last night in Pacific Beach, the four of us dined at World Famous. All four of us thoughly enjoyed our separate entrees. If you're going to be in this area we highly recommend having lunch or dinner at World Famous.

    We are locals and enjoy supporting our local restaurants. Our recent lunch at World Famous was a bit disappointing on several levels. The restaurant felt chilly inside with all the doors open. I'm thinking it is somewhere we should reserve for warmer weather visits. There seemed to only be a single server for the entire place as service was definitely below par. We had to fetch our own rolls ups from another table. We ordered two salads and after an hour had not received our food. Our server was nowhere to be seen so I had to go to the hostess stand and ask her to check on our food, which she brought to us within minutes. So was it sitting in the kitchen with no one to serve it? We needed more dressing but our server never came back to see if we needed anything so had to flag down a busboy to get it for us. Our salads were good but not exceptional. It seemed very unlike what we have come to know and love about this restaurant. We will try it again in the spring and hope for a better experience.
